Fucking megaman!!!!!

Hells yeah, hells yeah!!!!!

mate that is some epic guitarage going on. Heavy but not loud if you get me. I haven't played this game since i was about 14-15 but by god i remember it. An immaculate recording i must say. what u using to get your guitars in? Stuck with my rpx400 for the shortwhile and it is a bit poor, tho it does have a 'live' sound. All the layers of guitar on here are clear concise have there own part to add to the mix.

The only thing i may have grievance with is the drums. not being 'live' just my ear doesn't take to em as i should, but in the contect of the piece they work fine, enough rhytmn, maybe a more up front snare but it's opinion more than owt. Great reimaging of the tune and for that you get full marks across the board.

Line 6 podxt my good man. Very soon it will be a pod x3. >:)

Those babies are awesome. At least for homerecording needs. Google it! ;)

Yeah...maybe the snare could be a little more up but as you already said, it's a matter of taste. Thanks for checking it out man! :)

track

you've got some really good stuff going on here. I love the that heavily verbed kick. just puncuating the early motions of the track. Oooooo the 2nd phrase has just come in, awesome, full of redemption, great sound choice filling the edges with the choir underneath. The production is very good, noticeable amount of peak and troughs emphasising the kicks and midsections. I would develop that second section extensively, go for an extended remix, add some epic drums, make it even higher, but thats me innit. great track. 10/10 and a 5

crikey where have you been

always a love a bit of dnb, sounds a bit dj yodaish just needs the voice clips twittering ovver it. Good stuff anyways, simple as stuff tends to appeal to my head. 8/10.

Triskele responds:

Pitters! Yeah, I'm on and off these days, shitty connection and all that. I'm trying to get back in the swing though, I'll be sure to visit some of your new tunes when I get a chance!

lovely

as always fucking awesome, I recognise the general progression from a track by some body, the chords that is. Brilliant though, lovely guitar, crisps as fuck. Tiny amounf of clipping in the 'YEAHHH' bit, pops in my speakers. The vocals as per usual cut through with no problems in clarity or diction. 10/10 and a 5.

Kingbastard responds:

cheers man, always appreciate your reviews.

eerie

I thought it was a bit close as the track just kicked in but it's right. delay on the drums is nice, maybe an even longer decay or tempo synce to strect it further. Some very unnerving timbres in this track, haunting and yet theres a faint glimmer of hope. I like the use of dropping piano on the off beats, adding to that imagery. It's a jolly good piece, maybe a bit of verb on the piano i dunno, but production is other spot on. Good work. 9/10 5/5.

Beautiful

thats about as much as i can say. Wonderful voice, great diction and projection and an immaculate recording of that voice. I would be adding ambience to this track, really subtle sounds, or go for the epicness, but then that'd detract from the voice. anyways like i said. Beautiful.

Rig responds:

Yeah, I went for the soft reverb instead of the full orchestra. Hope you understand :)

howdy

oooooooooo opening is very Richard Ashcroft, can't remember the song right off me head. But yea the horns had me straight away. the really low bass kick hmmmmm not too sure as with the snare, maybe something more natural. Alot of the instruments sound 'midi-ish' dunno why. As an arrangement you have nailed epicness, some very grandiose sounds and wanton immediacy, gets the heart going. There are plenty of interesting layers which my ear keeps picking out. The only complaint as mentioned is it's midi-ish soundchoice. anyways 9-10. 5/5

SolusLunes responds:

Ja, not all of the instruments are of the highest quality.

I'll have to re-evaluate and re-make them.

oooooooooooo

Peaceful opening, building up, chilling, lovely, this is how my head works. Just thought i aint reviewed your stuff for ages. Is that a bitcrushed synthy bit that pops in and out as it sounds ace. Something i want to hear on this is voices, snippets of conversations just random bits. Haha that static, it now gives me the impression this track is leading on to something, i want to know what it is.

It's a very simple track which is what draws me in, production tho is spot on, maybe a tad quiet i aint sure. It's lovely tho mate. If you ever want monoloogues performed on your music you should give me a shout never mind a bit of acting. 10/10 and 5'd.

SineRider responds:

Thanks man. I was thinking of putting in some vocie clips here and there, but never got around to it, and couldn't find any decent clips. Maybe you could supply me.

Anyways, that little noise that pops up every once in awhile is a sampled piano stab, pitched down with reverb and delay. Sounds pretty cool eh?

Anyways, thanks for the review. I'll try and get you back sooner or later.

oi oi!!

Lets see what we have here then....Opening synth, a bit synthy haha, as the rest of the track comes in tho it sounds miles better. Old school synth always a good sign. Piano is cool. The snare drums doesn't do it for me, the kick is bassy enough, it feels very 'compact' I dunno i was expecting a meatier kit i suppose the 'verb is nice though, as the the ride.

Production wise it's all very 'clean' reason helps a tonne with a clean mix. Couple of run throughs i'm finding a better ear for it. It's a good track over all, has the breakdowns and phrases something i never have. Not essentially something I would buy but it's a good track nonetheless, good aural landscape. over all then it's 8/10. keep it up.

well lets see innit

Initial thoughts, those xylo/belly things are a tad bit loud, also notice someones been playing with chip vsts. as the kicks and the rest of the tune builds in increments it definately sounds sweet. The sax is just sex mate, I'm gonna need you to do a job on one of my tunes one day. I'm undecided as to whether some harmonies would benefit or detract from this tune.
It takes many listens to notice all the little things you add, i missed the laugh on the first run through, little tiny quiet licks, and there is a harmony afterall. It's cracking stuff mate as is always the case, you put me to shame.

9/10 5

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

yo pitters, yeh those mallets are a tad loud. lots of wierd filter boxes, samples and distortions for the strange noises.
that ain't no sax, is a clarinet, didn't have the lung power for the sax today, haven't picked up an instrument for weeks.
thanks for the listen brother
