oooooooooooooooooooooo,
what is that vocal?
Dude, you hitting soul. great chorus, sparse, allowing the shine. bum chord 1:15.
But hey this is church. Add some more to this, motown drums, a bass. Drive this man.

Voice student I recorded for a demo she could use. Yeah I thought I had heard one sour chord in there somewhere. I'll take another listen at that time stamp when I can. Thanks!
heh yeah I would add more to this but I really don't have the time. I'm only half way through 300+ tunes to remaster. @.@;
ooooooooooooooooo
that is wibbly wobbly. I love stereo fuckery.
40 seconds, dudes playing reversed reverb reversed delays, you filthy bastard.
I would not use that koto part, let those delays and verbs just swell. Just add singular notes man, long drawn string swells. harp pluck, or some brushed piano. The koto detracts from the soundscape for me.
I love it regardless

Thanks for the feedback. Wish they hadn't taken down my finished version (link below), so you could have reviewed that instead. Glad you dig.
Nice. really nice. I don't know if this is intentional but the thin/muffled tone works.
There are some issues with cross phase, and it really hampers the vocal.
The licks are great, drums are great, the vocal style is great. I really think you need a good producer and studio technician. For all the promise in a track I like immensely, you are doing yourself no favours with the current recordings.
Please PM me, if you have the stems to hand I will happily provide a mix, free of charge. Just so you can hear the difference.
Keep up the work making great songs, you have loads of potential and an audience out there who will listen. You need to polish up though.

I mean I record this in my room with a computer and busted equipment, can't really do much better with what I got. Shit I play with broken sticks but if you wanna give it a shot to fix the mix...
The muffled tone was intentional, i put a towel over my snare and moved my 57 a bit further back than normal. Thanks again
I aint into this one bit bro. It's not rock. It's loud, busy, almost trying too hard, your bass line is where your groove is at, build on that. Just relax.
i 5 as always but this didn't butter my toast.
always appreciate the honesty. This track is nothing special IMO but it's a track, so it gets remastered same as the rest.
How is this bluegrass?
because it's country music influenced by jazz and blues and characterized by virtuosic playing of banjos and guitars and high-pitched, close-harmony vocals
Yes mate!
This is pitbulljones ballpark. I'm thinking me throwing some riffs and swells on guitar.
I reaaaaaly like this. it's balanced, it's retro, dark, funky.

So do it throw some riffs on there and say you sampled me.
ok.
Too loud. All of it.
Drag the levels down jeez.
The playing is good. Some of your riffing is out but it's a minor thing.
Seriously though, the volume is a huge issue. Have a look at some mixing tutorials.
I really appreciate the review! I'm going to start using a guitar interface pretty soon. I'm hoping that'll improve my sound quality and volume so I won't have to use so much gain.
Your brutal review.
It's too god damn loud. Right off the bat. You start so high in level you have nowhere to go.
Your compressor is pumping to your bass kick, each kick drags the level down. Multiband it, the pumping effect is horrible.
Tone wise it's fine, saws, sines, tri's. Melody is good. There is an interesting tune here if you took more time in balancing the mix. Lower all the levels. Thin the parts, pan.
Resolve the comp pump.
5 as always
Good grief, you're totally right about it being too loud! I didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Its good to have a fresh pair of ears.
Thanks so much! You have given me many things to work on.
