cool tune

liking this tune alot, the beats are ace again, the synth feel a bit too loud though, think it needs pulling back, but it's a really nice track, different to a lot of stuff on here, it gets my download anyways.

good shit

you seem to be quite a talent with the axe mate, rally gud technical aptitude. just need to fillyour mixes out with more stuff and you'd have a proper song to rock out to.

nice cover

seems you vcan certainly play the guitar, i think ive established that, all gud, just needs drums and support again.

again it sounds flat for some reason, i really can't put me finger on it, what recording set up you using?

pitters

good stuff

very nice guitar pyrotechnics there mate, nothing wrong with a bit of fret wanking lol. metal aint ma thing but its all very good. i think it needs some drums and supporting instrumentation. it all feels a bit 'squashed' together the mix, it need some space for all the bits to breath, besides that its very good.

Not my cup of tea but....

Everything is really gud on this, i love the squelchy synth, a proper throw back to analogue, lots of stuff going on withou anything cluttering the mix, the supporting melody lines are cool and the backing makes for great listening. I don't like that panpipey flute that leads the track tho, tho thats a minor complaint. If that were took away i think you could do a nice remix with this.

anyways keep it up, love hearing your stuff, totally different and really 'outthere'

WinTang responds:

I gotta admit, the "panpipey flute" (as you very well put it) is intended to sound a bit corny, and I do not blame you at all for disliking it. I think its melody is pretty crucial for keeping the song interesting though. It's something to ponder - I may get rid of it and replace it with I dunno. Guitar even, maybe.
I'm glad you like my stuff so, because now I can say "there's this guy named pitters and we totally dig each other's music". Or something.

nice one son

not bad again mate, this is the first time ive listene to your stuff and its really nice stuff, one things thats missing from here tho is a really pounding beat, it would help this tune soooooooo much.

curriemaster responds:

This tune definitely need some pumping beats. And I think you are just the man to doooo it! Its a pretty boring tune to be fair, I need to enliven it somehow...

Cheers for the review chief.

cool tune

really nice acoustics ther mate, reminded abit of jose gonzalez, nice short and sweet, i think its just missing a vocal really, keep it up

curriemaster responds:

Hehe cheers mate,

Twas done in DADF#BE just like ole Jose! It definitely needs some vocals but unfortunately my voice sounds like a donkey with a thistle up his ass.

Cheers for the review!

Shit hot my friend

quite plain and simply, fucking love your stuff man, and i love you too, its a cool lil bouncer mate, i love the tom/snare rhythm, the arrangement's cool as well, nothing stays in too long or too short just the right balance. im curious as to where your scratchings gone on it tho lol i think it may have work, but the beat layerings cool, how many you got running there? is it two or three?

anyhows, got my download the other day i forgot to review, you also get a fifen innit.

keep it up rucklo

Rucklo responds:

Hello, dear! :)
Gah I listened to the snare and just realised there´s a eq-clash at 1/8 of the snare hits. bollox.
There were supposed to be skratching on here, but it just didn´t fit.
I attempted a cool techniques using my CDX+Mixer that turned out to be not so cool for this song (i´ll use that super-secret skratch-recording technique on some other song :). I also found out that there really was no room for skratching, it just idn´t sound right, so I skipped that this time. Next song will be more sample-based, cut n slice+skratching. I hope. :)

The beat is layered, I think there are 2 kicks, eq to go fine with the subbass (but the subbass kinda fukced up, and i couldnt fix it) 2 snares, one hihat, 2 tambourine samples, three for the bongo-thingy... uuuh, probably something more, I cant remember. But I dont think I layered anything more than twise, to be honest. Loads of EQ on the beat to make every sample clear in the mix.

Well thanx alot for score and review, mate!! I´m gonna have to ravage your account one day :)
K155 & bu7753xx lolol

great tune

yea man, i loved this. that synth bell thing is damn quirky but i love it, drums are chilling, i loved this track to be honest.

you ever listened to ian brown 'unfinished monkey buisness'? you may find similarites which is a good thing in my book. dman 5/5 again.

LJCoffee responds:

I'll have to check out Ian Brown then.

I dug the "quirky bell" too - it's thought a detuned instrument with a few LFO's to give that warped vinyl feel would add exactly what I was looking for to this. Thanks!
