The musician you are now...i'm in awe. You have achieved signature tone. Your control of the acid synth, it's yours and you own it. No one does it better.

This is right where I want my music. Deep ambient, good drums, layered melody. Distortion. Room, bredth.

Continue being amazing.

ps

tune for you to review

oh i hear that,

i'd be slower, drawing that sample out.

it's well balanced if unexpressive, a tinkerer tinkers, maybe if you come back to this you do the proper work. I like the sample, i like the groove. i think you have something to build and play with. Stick in the groove, try glitch and reversed verbd chords.

JoeliusNG responds:

Sure, some added glitching sounds like a good shout. Thanks dude!

ooooooooooooooooooo i like.

A very cool, early 90's. 89-91. dance indie mix. think 808 state, petshop boys, human league, very early goldie. you have something. For all the 'fruity' kit, you work a good mix with reverb, some well balanced eq and panning.

Knowing what you're using I am immensely impressed with the diversity of tone. i could hear some triggered vocals here and there. I wouldn't add more tone. What you have is great .

Oh thank you very much!! I'm very glad you liked it, and thanks for the constructive review!! <3

it's not my flavour bro. I have little to offer and it'd be unfair of me to try critiquing. you get a 5 regardless

Midnights-Ocean responds:

Hey if you liked every single thing I made, I would be worried lol. Thanks brah! ^_^

I appreciate you trying to work in the 3 minute window. I know there's more to this and I am your audience for that. But these tighter mixes are really helping you define core tone. It's tranquil, engaging and enveloping. Your ocean sample, because it's pushing low end it's distracting from the mix somewhat, i can't absorb your lower end, being an aural piece it's important you find the balance. Literally just thin it and leave the mid up.

5 as always

Midnights-Ocean responds:

Yeah on any new stuff I've been doing, I've tried to keep the run time down. All my old stuff though, will still be long lol.

YES, it's funny I was thinking the same thing. I'm like, eehhhh, those waves. that bass. it's a little distracting. I'll try a maybe just a -3db or -6db low shelf next time I hit this. Thanks!

I love it, i love everything you do.

This is brighter, it's a solid bass and a high eq'd high fretted guitar.

So we are left a vocal. One that is waiting to be unleashed and projected. It sounds so held back and it is a shame because if that full volume vocal was there you have a proper 10. Trust me, I know it's hard to get time and space to be expressive but you need to be.

always 5/5

nice. Thinking little nemo. mix is bang on.

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks a ton! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Little Nemo, so that's a right fine compliment in my book.
