[Rucklo - Horror]

hmmmmmmmmmm

well, the opening brass instrument is very synthy, which to do classical and make it sound authentic you really don't want, but it's incredibly hard to get decent brass with any synth or emulator so it's only a minor gripe.

i like the string in the background repating the small melody line.

it just feels like it should be going somewhere this mate, especially on the closing bar, i was expecting it to break down into a dance track of some sort but nope. i'll like to see it developed.

anyways good stuff mate

alreet mate, how do and all that shite. this track is cool man, fucking love dnb, i think the vocal is a bit too much mind, just needs pulling bk a bit for the rest of the mix to breathe.

i'm listening on crappy speakers here so i can't pick everything up clearly, as theres too much top and little bottom to discern properly. the strings were really nice tho mate, had a nice professional vibe to em. it's all good this track, just compliments the genre but doesn't add anything new to it.

good effort mate. 9/10

pretty cool this is

well this has that old skool gangsta vibe to it, nice police siren and the underlaying synth really compliments the mix, the beat is just aboiut right, the kick is good, and the snare/clap is okay, maybe try using a bit of variation in the snare changin from one sound to another intermittently.

that 'hey' sounded good at first, but it began to get repeptitive and then annoying as it sounds a bit cheap, maybe make them change notes with the song, give it a more musical edge, or take a few out.

The piano's nice too, just apply a longer reverb and it'll sound even better, the shot gun effect is good too, tho it is out of time with the tune, slice it up between the 'cocking' and the firing so it lands on the beginning of the beat.

theres something in the air at the mo with these spacey tunes.

I liked how you opened the track with the very false pretence as to where this track was going, it really threw me that did. than it kicked into some weird modern rock tune, very cool though, that vocal bit tho really sounds like marilyn manson to me, it has a nice electro vibe to it, i dont know why. the monotonous beat works, builds up anticipation as the song keeps building. nice reversed distortion.

Its a very cool track, you have a unique style which impresses me to no end, pushing the far reaches of music. it also has the vibe of primal scream too this track.

anyways i loved it. 10/10

hey man

cool tune, very 'ambienty'. really dreamy and sleepy, with the slow beat and synths and the guitar is really nice too. you have more musical talent in your little finger than i have in my whole body. it's really a quality track, with plenty of delays and repetition on the backing synth. I've noticed you've rolled off the reverb with the guitar too and used some ddl's which really help to bring the guitar into focus, i do think a very slow, deep flange would compliment whats going on with it too. but thats just me.

that synth that comes in later is cool too, the 'woo'y' one, then the strings too. damn this tune is awesome, absoluteley fantastic, you're getting tens all round for this and a five and a download. i think a vocal could (possibly) be the icing on the cake with this track, some dreamy breathy female vocals. wonderful though mate.

Don't underestimate yourself, mate. If I had that much more musical talent I wouldn't be so genuinely enthusiastic about your music - you're among my all-time favorite artists here. Seems my approach involves more theory to back up the instinct, well if you'd want some of that I could give you some quick pointers, just give a yell :)

Heh, it seems you wrote this review along with the song - your level of praise increases with the track's density, a very nice reading experience, I can assure you!

Anyway yeah, adding reverb and delay on the guitar did more good than I could've hoped. I'll fiddle with some flange as well, there's already some on the drums though so I'll probably have to be careful.

Vocals had crossed my mind already and I do think I'll give that a try sometime.

Thanks for all the input and praise, I hold it in high regard. Made me a happy man once again :)

again not bad

Im basically just gonna be repeating myself here with what i said in the other review. It's all very good, and the rhythm section is very off kilter, i like that. But again it's let down by some bad sample choices, that snare again is wrong, the distorted synth, really sounds cheap. The kick is great tho. really heavy. Theres another short distorted stab which pops in every couple of bars, i like that.

basically you have the makings of some nice tracks and loops, you're just letting yourself down with the choice of instruments.

go to www.kvraudio.com you can find loads of free vsts which will really help with your sounds. a great one is a synth called crystal. get your hands on that.

anyways another 8/10 and 4/5

You've got the suitable kick there, loads of bottom and a thump. and the use of the snare/clap too.

i think it's let down by a use of a very generic snare, one that belongs to the dance genre more than hiphop. the bass is dark, but again it sounds very generic, same goes with the piano synth, its all very good it just needs some more realistic instrumentation if you know what i mean. But change that snare, it doesnt suit the style at all.

good stuff tho, you can only get better.

tune fucking tune

wow man, that opening lo-fi synth reminded me of a joy division track called atmosphere. the beat is cool man, great glitching going on, and the strings too are really good. i really like the lo-fi edge it's got about it, even though it retains all its quality. great stuff mate, as usually.

cool track

this is a nice track nightvision. its not exactly drum and bass but it's close enough, the drums are too light for DNB to be honest. Whats that clicky noise that comes in every couple of bars or so? I don't like it, at all. it's out of sync with everything and feels very random. everything else is jolly good though.

That clicking is called "clipping", it was not intended to be in there. I accidentally uploaded the wrong version of the song, and i'll be more careful in the future.
