oooooooooo you tickle my brain so much. This is mogwai/sigur ros, with synth. Dude imagine a huge distorted guitar just crashing and washing. Then some choral vox. That 7:40 mark. yea crescendo. big chords, reverse distortion with a back verb. Sweeping vox. Horn section in a 3 chord drop!

the dissonance could challenge casual, but you tell a beautiful story.

A cut up Shiloh instrumental with some sound thrown in, original song is Don't Go. I guess that makes this more like a remix, og song is 1:40, but the lyrics are 100% me.

As for the remaining 4:27. you didn't waste my time. I love this. Admittedly I am not on monitors as I listen. But this is fantastic, has some latter radiohead to it, your vox really sells that. Love dem breaks. Nice use of guitar into a loop, the 7ths are gorgeous especially in the latter end, minor 9ths with harmonic 11ths. I like the loose approach, though the verb highlights errors. I think a roll back would help. Why the abrupt end?

tanks mate, this is a remake of a song I did with myfriend g white decades ago, was originally just guitar and vocals, he did vocals, i recreated them here. dunno looped wierd when mixed down? haven't got access to this file now, laptop fucked so it is as it is.

your on monitors now! this is a bane or boon.....

your mix is brilliant. Stereo mix is narrow, we need to widen your spectrum. Your female vox, my god, so good. Now i am on monitors i'd suggest pumping them about 3db, they should be front and centre. Your vox, still verb'd to hell, and the phaser on your verb needs scrubbing.

As an overall mix, it's tight, well balanced and eq'd well. I think both vocals need more presence, the mix needs width.

(low pass your vox, high pass the fem vox)

It's 100% on genre. I hate it from a personal prospective. But I appreciate the work.

High trebles on synth. I will abide the drum sample.

Your added kits lack cohesion to the mix. Use more 'lie' samples and ensure the reverb matches the track.

i like the the rubber bass, i like the support. It's a very undynamic track though. i think sitting with a speaker set up over cans fixes a lot of this

lot of hiss on this, don't know if that's intended. i tend to hear clean mixes. The piano is peaky.

the build and layering is great, it all sits.

id love a breaks on this, along with verb'd drowned ooh's and ahh's.

a revision perhaps ?

This one took ages to piece together. I just didn't want to work on it. Too dark but in the end it turned out ok. It could probably use a lot more polishing but it's rough working on something so emotional.
